Description

PROJECT NARRATIVE The proposed research aims to discover how biophysical adaptation mechanisms that permit the retina to adapt its computational function contribute to neural encoding. These studies would help us to understand how the circuits of the brain, more generally, flexibly navigate their computational objectives. In elucidating part of the neural code that contributes to adaptable neural circuit function, this project will broadly benefit neuroscience and public health.
