Project Details

Description

PROJECT NARRATIVE There is no effective treatment for anorexia nervosa (AN), and there are no novel therapeutic targets in the pipeline. We developed a new mouse model to study AN at the stage of illness prior to disease conversion by combining genetic, biological and psychological risk factors that occur in humans. The proposed experiments are designed to map circuits in the brain responsible for anorexic behavior in this model.
