Supporting the 2016 School Food Focus National Gathering: Change Beyond the Plate

This grant supports the School Food Focus National Gathering to be held December 6 through 8, 2016, in Braselton, GA. This conference convenes more than 250 school food leaders, institutional purchasers, government allies, industry representatives, and food system thought leaders to share innovative procurement strategies to improve the nutritional content of school meals. Activities will include panel presentations, break-out sessions, and the School Food Showcase, a mini-trade show of 30 vendors whose primary objective is to bring the nutritious and minimally processed foods available for institutional purchase to the attention of the attendees. Deliverables will be any conference materials generated before and after the event.
