Project Details
Description
will examine whether educational accountability
systems built around high-stakes tests improve student learning.
He will use data from New York City schools to assess whether
the district's accountability system is leading school officials to
engage in "gaming" by, for instance, removing low-performing
students from the test-taking pool. The project's findings will
appear in a series of papers.
