Project Details
Description
Using data from the Early Childhood Longitudinal Study-Kindergarten Cohort, this three-year project will investigate how well prepared are the children of immigrants (ages 5-7) for school, and will explore the likely mechanisms defining the relationship between immigrant status and school readiness. These mechanisms include the characteristics of the child, the home environment, the experiences of the child before attending school, the school environment, and the community's resources.
