Project Details

Description

The objective is to develop structural batteries for satellites and other assests and understand its mechanical and electrochemical behaviors including the lifetime and cycle count. Goal is to fabricate battery electrodes with excellent mechanical properties, such as high tensile strength/modulus and high bending stiffness, enhancing load transfer between different layers within the battery, develop safe and impact-resistant electrolytes, model and simulation of mechanical deformation in structural batteries.
