Project Details

Description

The Foundation's Future of Nursing Scholars program was designed to create a diverse cadre of new PhD-prepared nurses who are committed to a long-term leadership career to strengthen nursing education, advance science and discovery through research, and lead change in nursing and health care. Under this grant, Columbia University School of Nursing will select two scholars. The scholars will begin the program in September 2018 and complete the program in 2021 and will be part of the fifth and final cohort of the Future of Nursing Scholars Program. The $75,000 per scholar of RWJF support and $50,000 grantee match (cash or in-kind) will be used to support the scholar's tuition, fees, living expenses, research activities, travel to program meetings and other expenses over the three years of the program. RWJF grant funds will be released in July 2018.
