Project Details
Description
will examine whether new, multi-faceted teacher selection systems can correctly identify high-quality teachers during the hiring process. They will work with officials in the Washington, DC, public school system to collect information about applicants for teaching jobs, subject those applicants to a number of assessments, and then examine how well newly hired teachers performed on a range of measures during their first two years on the job. The project’s findings will appear in a series of papers.
