Eligibility criteria include a minimum GPA of 2.5; identification with one of the target groups, and/or interest in working in underserved communities. Program activities are structured around a set of predetermined, core operational and programmatic principles: basic sciences (organic chemistry, physics, biology and quantitative topics); courses in communications; learning skills; career development; clinical experience; workshops in financial planning and health policy, and social activities. This grant provides support for this university's participation in the Summer Medical and Dental Education Program.
