Project Details

Description

Project Narrative Many environmental chemicals linked to Parkinson’s disease have been proposed to exert their effects via disruption of vesicular storage of dopamine. This project will focus on the role of SV2C, which has recently been identified in a genome-wide study of Parkinson’s disease, in maintaining vesicular dopamine homeostasis and protecting neurons from toxicity.
