Project Details
Description
The aim of this research is developing a new technology to observe specific types or states of neurons in vivo, in single cell resolution. The electron microscopy of the ultra-structures in vivo neuron has been limited to that of “random” neuron in the tissue. In this study, by correlative light and electron microscopy, I will analyze the organelles and synapses of specific neurons in a complex brain structure. Further, I will apply this technique to the observation of neural stem cells and glial cells in vivo.
