Abstract

This chapter presents a case study that a patient who was restored with implants and fixed partial dentures three years ago now presents to the dental office with significant dental problems. Recently diagnosed with diabetes mellitus, the history suggests the metabolic syndrome was present before the development of diabetes mellitus. The chapter presents medical history, dental history and history of the current problem, treatment plan, and treatment for the patient.
