Funding Information:THIS ISSUE on Panic Disorder, including a sampling of papers from a 3-day Conference held in June 1990 in Geneva, Switzerland, is dedicated to Gerald L. Klerman, MD, who organized and led the Conference and began the selection of papers for this issue before his death on 3 April 1992. Gerry invited a distinguished group of international scientists and clinicians from academia and government to review progress in understanding the epidemiology, clinical course, treatment and management of panic disorder over the previous 8 years. The Geneva Conference was a follow-up of a similar review he led in December 1982 in Key Biscayne, Florida. Both Conferences were supported by The Upjohn Company.
