Description
The Foundation's Change Leadership Program was designed to support the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation Leadership for Better Health's four national program centers, the cross-program Fall Leadership Institute, and the RWJF Coordinating Center for the change leadership programs authorization.Further, the goal of the Foundation's Health Policy Research Scholars Program is to create a large cadre of diverse doctoral students from multiple (non-clinical, research focused) disciplines whose research, connections and leadership will inform and influence policy toward a Culture of Health. This grant supports the participant's engagement in the RWJF Health Policy Research Scholars Program. Over the course of four years, the participant will engage in program activities that will enhance training in the translation and implementation of health policy. Grant funds will support the participant's successful completion of the program. Examples of appropriate use of funds include, but are not limited to, paying for living or child-care expenses; research or statistical software; registration fees for relevant conferences, workshops or professional associations; equipment, such as laptops, tablets, audio recorders, or other devices needed for research or other program requirements; and supplies, including books and other education-related materials. All materials purchased with grant funds will be the property of the participant and retained by the participant following completion of the program.Funds released to the grantee institution each year should be distributed to the participant as a fellowship or stipend payment at least twice per grant year, but generally at the beginning of each of the four academic terms. The grantee institution agrees that it will verify that the applicant is a student in good standing in a research-focused doctoral program with at least a 3.0 grade point average on a 4.0 scale (or equivalent) before distributing the funds.
