EFFECT OF EXPOSURE MEASUREMENT ERROR IN AIR POLLUTION STUDIES: TWO CASE STUDIES

Projet

Détails sur le projet

Description

Exposure measurement error has long been identifiedas an important issue in epidemiologicalstudies of particulate matter. The proposed studywill quantify measurement error in chronic PMhealth studies, introduced by measurements ofPM2.5 and its components at centrally located stationaryambient sites. Additionally, this study willexamine whether statistical methods that integrateacross pollution and health measures, suchas structural equation and hierarchical models, are able to reduce the impact of measurementerror and de-attenuate risk estimates.
