Détails sur le projet
Description
Cortical perceptual memory is believed to consolidate during sleep, where organized firing of neuronal
ensembles is reactivated similarly to representations formed during learning. Dysregulation of memory
reactivation may contribute to the neurocognitive impairments in Alzheimer’s disease (AD). Using state-of-the-
art optical techniques, this proposal aims to evaluate the role of memory reactivation during sleep to memory
consolidation, as well as identify impairments to and enhance reactivation during sleep in a mouse model of AD.
