Résumé

1. 1. Complications of regional cancer chemotherapy by perfusion and infusion technics are discussed. The series includes 390 regional perfusions and twenty-four continuous intra-arterial infusions performed prior to July 31, 1962, by members of the Tulane University Department of Surgery. 2. 2. Wound complications occurred in approximately 20 per cent of patients subjected to perfusion. Most of these patients had lymph node dissections and/or radiotherapy in addition to perfusion. 3. 3. The most serious complication of chemotherapy by this route has been bone marrow depression. The severity of leukopenia varied with the degree of isolation, the dose of drug and the duration of action of the specific drug.
