Résumé

This chapter builds on the lessons of Chapters 8 and 9 in order to situate the management of conflicts of interest at the core of property governance. Section I demonstrates how property governance solves conflicts of interest for individuals acting in their own self-interest and as decision-makers over group resources in which they have a stake. Section II explains the patterns that emerge from the heterogeneous solutions that property law provides to manage conflicts of interest.
